Flatness

We are always focused on the particular character of different parts of the city, and looking for contemporary ways to express them. We have a strong interest in SOMA alley architecture. The powerful difference between the alleys and the major streets is most distinct in the difference in degree of articulation. While crenelated street walls characterize Main streetscapes, flatness predominates in the alleys.
