Bob Dunn Loft
San Francisco, CA
The loft consists of two units joined to form a long continuous space with one wall of industrial glazing. A black wenge stripe runs down the middle of the birch floor from end to end, measuring the length of the space. The stripe arranges the domestic landscape by providing the locus for a series of tables of different types and heights—television table in the guest bedroom, coffee table in the living room, dining room table, kitchen table, and bedside table in the master bedroom. On the service wall, the blond wood floor turns up to become a wainscot.
