South Park is an oval landscape surrounded by diverse buildings, several of them red brick. The park is a tranquil and tree lined oasis in SOMA.

The project provides a new front for a building with the distinguished history of being where both Twitter and Instagram began. Legend has it Twitter was named after the sounds of the birds in the park.

The new façade blends with the brick neighbor using large scale red panels in stretcher bond. A ribbon window tracks the shift around the oval, dropping to form the glazed entry recess. Above, a slender canopy shelters the front.

The doormat remembers the building’s history at its entry with words set in concrete.
